A shopper signals unmet demand

At the shelf, a shopper can't find a product they wanted. Through the Afferent Signal capture app, they log it in under a minute — the product, the store location, and whether it's out of stock or simply never carried there. That's a real afferent signal: sensory input traveling toward the center, exactly the thing POS and loyalty data structurally can't record.

Afferent Synapse enriches it

The raw signal is relayed and encoded with context: verified store location and phone status, trade-area demographics and an affluence index from Census ACS data, plus EV charger counts and SNAP/WIC authorization where relevant. Weekly delta tracking keeps the underlying store data — openings, closings, relocations — current.
